206 Research Papers Presented in M.P Young Scientist Congress Science and Technology Minister Gupta inaugurates

Bhopal: Students presented 206 research papers in the Madhya Pradesh Young Scientist Congress. Revenue, Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta inaugurated the two-day Young Scientist Congress at Vigyan Bhavan.
Gupta said that from this year onwards the number of awards is being increased. From now on, the subject on which ten research papers are presented, any one of these will be awarded Rs 25,000. Two prizes will be given in the subject on which 10-20 research papers are presented and three prizes will be given in the subject on which 20-30 research papers are presented. The first, second and third prizes will be Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively.
Gupta said that the expansion of science is necessary for the development and welfare of people. He said that students belonging to districts from where no research papers were presented will be encouraged to present papers. Shri Gupta said that they should present papers according to the needs of the state. He said that feedback must be taken from the participants of the Science Congress based on which improvements should be proposed. Gupta released the summary of the research paper.
Principal Secretary Science and Technology Mohammed Suleiman said that the aim of the Congress is to encourage Science. He said that one should have the capacity to raise questions to which answers will surely be given. The Principal Secretary said that more attention should be paid to the research related to the State’s industries.
Financial Aid for Research in any Laboratory
MAPCOST Director General C.K. Patil said that over 350 research papers on 18 subjects were received out of which 206 papers were selected by senior scientists. He told that young scientists are granted scholarship of Rs 10,000 per month for research in any laboratory of the country apart from Travelling Allowance and Rs 5000 grant. He told that this is the 32nd Young Science Congress. Last year, various young scientists have researched in the country’s significant laboratories.-WTN
