MoS for Forests Meena appeals to burn useless wood for Holi

Bhopal: Minister of State for Forests Suryaprakash Meena has appealed for use of only dry wood for Holika Dahan for environmental protection.
Meena said that felling of trees adversely affects the environment. The widening gap between the demand for forest produce and its supply has worsened the situation. The need of the hour is that the forest is conserved and developed. People should minimize use of wood for Holika Dahan and support in environmental conservation. This should be limited to only agricultural remains and worthless wood.-WTN
