Massive Rally in Bhopal on World Forestry Day

Bhopal: The Biodiversity Board will launch a public awareness campaign focused on ‘Jan-Van-Narmada and Bhopal’ from March 19 to 22 on the occasion of World Forestry Day on March 21 and World Water Day on March 22. The campaign will start with an awareness rally on March 19 from T.T.Nagar Stadium, Bhopal at 7.30 in the morning. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the rally. Nearly 5,000 people including people’s representatives, school and college students of Bhopal, representatives of government departments and institutions and citizens will be participating in the rally.

Detailed information on the rally can be obtained from www.mpsbb.nic.in. Participation in contests will be based on online registrations. After the rally, an essay competition will be organized on March 19 itself from 10.30 to 11.30 in the morning and a painting competition will be held from 12 pm to 1pm.

A workshop on Jal-Van-Narmada-Bhopal will begin from 10.30 in the morning at R.C.V.P Noronha Academy of Administration on March 21 on World Forestry Day. Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar, Water Resources Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra and Urban Administration and Development Minister Smt. Maya Singh will be present on the occasion.

A workshop on Water Implementation Strategy will be held on the occasion of World Water Day at the Academy of Administration on March 22 in which representatives of different departments will take part. With this, the awareness programme will conclude.-WTN
