Atmosphere of Devotion and Enthusiasm Seen on 3rd Day of Yatra in Dewas District

Bhopal: Atmosphere of devotion and enthusiasm was witnessed on the third day of ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Seva Yatra in Dewas district. Minister of State for Forest Surya Prakash Meena, MLA Ashish Sharma and thousands of people took part in the yatra. Meena termed the yatra as Bhagirath Prayas (Herculean Task) of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan towards conservation of river in Jan-Sanvad held at village Kotkhedi. Hindu –Muslim solidarity was witnessed when yatra reached village Dudwas of the district. Women and representatives of Muslim Community welcomed yatra showering flowers. Muslim musical instrument players gave reception to yatra playing shehnai. Guests also planted fruits and other saplings in the villages in the way of yatra. Yatra amid chanting ‘Twadiya Paad Pankajam’ mantras proceeded village Fatehgarh on third day after performing early morning aarti. MLA Champalal Dewda, Yatra Incharge Pradeep Pandey, District Yatra Incharge and Chairman M.P. Text Book Corporation Raisingh Sendhav, District Vice President Jan Abhiyan Parishad Rajesh Yadav, Chairman M.P. Asangatit Kamgaar Board Sultan Singh Shekhawat, Collector Ashutosh Awasthi, Public representatives beside people in large number took part in yatra.

First Kind of Yatra it Indian History

MLA Ashish Sharma in a Jan-Sanvad held at village Melpipalya said that Narmada Seva Yatra is a unique yatra in the Indian history. Sharma mentioned that we all should take resolution to keep Narmad river clean and pure. He administered pledge to the masses to conserve Maa Narmada. An attractive tableau of Shivputri Narmada was made in the village Melpiplaya to welcome yatra. Small children in the makeup of Bhagwan Shankar and Bhhoton ki toli in colourful attires participated in the yatra. Yatra kalash was welcome with beating drums during entry of yatra from Kannod to Khategaon block. Yatra reached Dawtha covering Fatehgarh Ghat, Tipras, Bhandariya, Pipalkota, Dudwas, Melpipalya, Mirzapur, Tamkhan, Siralya Rewatir, Kadabuzurg and Rajore. Mesmerising dance by the girl students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School and bhajans by bhajan mandlis were presented during night stay at village Fatehgarh Ghat. Village Baijagwada was illuminated like Deepawali and rangolis and lamps were decorated in front of all the houses when yatra reached here. Kamal Giri Maharaj who is famous as Tilak Baba is the center of attraction in Yatra. Maharaj is a pujari of Satmatra Mandir of Maheshwar. He is welcoming thousands of yatris putting tilak on their foreheads. Baba has joined Narmada Seva Yatra from Dhamnod. He is participating in yatra riding a scooter.-WTN
