Recruitment After 20 Years in State Cooperative Banks

Bhopal: Banking staff is being recruited for the first time after 20 years on 1674 various posts in State Cooperative Banks. Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) Vishwas Sarang informed that the recruitment will compensate the manpower shortage in the banks. Residents of Madhya Pradesh are only eligible to apply.

Sarang said that staff shortage was felt in the State Cooperative Banks since long time. After making efforts in this direction, activity to identify important posts was carried out keeping in view the nature of work. Need for immediate recruitment on 1674 posts was noticed in the first phase. He further said that Banking Assistants on 40 posts, Clerks in District Cooperative Banks on 37 posts and Computer Operators on 1634 posts are being recruited. Sarang mentioned that this will facilitate employment to the youths and better facilities will be made available to farmers and general customers through District Cooperative Banks of the state.

Moreover, Sarang informed that keeping in account the transparency, examination will be conducted online. Pre examination will be held before the final examination. Also, reasoning and numerical ability beside computer knowledge, general knowledge and awareness etc. of the applicants will be examined. He said that difficulties in banking activities were felt due to non-recruitment in banks since last 20 years. This process will be continued and staff will be recruited as per the requirement, he added.-WTN
