Construction works according to guidelines to be started in state from April 20

Bhopal 19 April 2020: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a video conferencing held at Mantralaya today with the contractors, associated with the construction departments said that construction work will be started from April 20 to speed up the economy in the state as per the guidelines of the Government of India. He said that movement of people from infected areas (hotspots) will be completely restricted. Taking into account the risk of corona infection, begin the construction works carefully, he added.

Chouhan said that unified passes will be issued for people engaged in construction work for movement within the state; therefore they will not have to take separate permission from every district again and again. The Chief Minister said that the contractors should themselves make the arrangement of food for their permanent labourers. Food grain arrangement for other needy persons is being made by the administration. Chouhan further mentioned that keeping in view the Corona infection, people of over 50 years of age, heart patients, asthma patients, small children and mothers should not be engaged in work. Employing local workers is our priority. They must insure the people working at the construction sites.

Chief Minister Chouhan asked the concerned departments to ensure that supply chain should not break, it remains continue. Local government is being directed for smooth movement of goods transport vehicles. The Principal Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains said that they can use the Dial 100, if they come across with obstruction in transportation. In view of the ensuing monsoon in the state, complete the construction work by June 15. Ensure that repair work of 150 damaged bridges in the state is also  done before time. Bains said that it is our efforts to ensure construction works moves forward at a smooth pace.
