Rewa District’s Four Janpad Panchayats Become Free of Open Defecation

Bhopal: Mukhyamantri Swachchata Samman samaroh and Vidhayak Kabaddi competition was held in the presence of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in village Atraila of Java Janpad-Rewa district today. Rewa, Sirmore, Gangev and Naigadhi Janpad Panchayats were declared free of open defecation on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that sports competition held in rural areas help local talents to rise. He mentioned that all possible efforts will be made at government level to provide good coaches and resources to refine local talent. He said that MLA is entitle for praise and compliments for organising local game like Kabaddi. Chouhan announced for construction of indoor stadium for Kabaddi in Sirmore.
Chouhan further mentioned that each and every individual is responsible to make villages and cities clean. Public Representatives, villagers and administrative officers of those four janpad panchayats which have been made free of open defecation are entitle for compliments. There is a need for constant vouch and use of toilets by the people now, he added.
Moreover, Chouhan said that Gramin Awas programme is being implemented with an objective to provide house to each person in the state. In the current year, 38 thousand houses will be built in Rewa district. He said that several schools are being upgraded and colleges are being opened to prevent students going far to pursue studies. Fee of students getting admissions in prestigious institutes for higher studies after securing more than 75 percent marks in 12th examination will be borne by the state government. Loan facility on zero percent interest has been provided to the farmers. Spreading network of canals, work to irrigate non irrigated land is being undertaken on priority. Chouhan appealed to youths to become self reliant establishing their own industry availing benefits of Mukhyamantri Yuva Udhyami and Swa-Rozgar Yojana.

CM Chouhan presented citation letters to Presidents of those janpads which were declared free of open defecation showering flowers under the Swachcha Bharat Mission.
Chouhan also honoured players of winner and runner up teams of Kabaddi competition.
Chief Minister Chouhan during his visit to Antraila laid foundation of 3301 construction works costing Rs. 8949.79 lakh.
MP Janardan Mishra, MLAs Ramakant Tiwari, Divyaraj Singh, Vice President Jial Panchayat Smt. Vibha Patel,, public representatives and villagers in large number were present in the programme.-WTN
