Trees must be planted if environment has to be protected
CM Chouhan inaugurates major tree plantation symbolically on World Environment Day
Bhopal 5 June 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that this earth is not only of humans, but all animals, birds, insects, moths, ponds-lakes, ocean etc. have rights over it. Man blindly exploited nature in the blind race for development. He eliminated forests. The toxic emissions of the factories polluted the environment. At the same time, the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture contaminated water and food materials. In fact, this is not development it is destructive. Balance in development and environment is absolutely essential.
If we have to save our environment, we have to plant trees. Trees not only purify the environment, but also provide us with food and raise the ground water level and store the water. Water flows in rivers only due to trees.
Chief Minister Chouhan symbolically inaugurated a major tree plantation organized by Subhash Manch Harda on World Environment Day today through video conferencing and also addressed the members of the institution through the conference. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel and convenor of the organization Gaurishankar Mukati etc. from Harda district were present in the video conference.
