Chief Minister inspects Super Specialty Hospital under construction
Bhopal 8 Jun 2020 Chief Minister vraj Singh Chouhan inspected the Super Specialty Hospital under construction at MY Hospital campus today. On this occasion, he said that this hospital will be developed as “Covid Hospital”. On this occasion, he was accompanied by local MP Shankar Lalwani, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Collector Manish Singh, DIG arinarayanachari Mishra, Additional Collector Chandramouli Shukla and Superintendent of Police Yusuf.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that construction work of this hospital should be completed at the earliest. The work of installation of furniture and machinery remains to be completed in the hospital. Civil work is almost complete. Doctor and paramedical staff will soon be recruited for the hospital. All necessary posts have been approved by the state government. Senior officers inspect it from time to time and issue directions. Senior officials of MGM Medical College continue to provide technical guidance for this hospital.
He said that in view of the increasing population of Malwa region, such a well-equipped hospital was much needed. The hospital took shape due to the combined efforts of the Centre and state government. Patients of Indore-Ujjain division will get the benefit of free service from the hospital and all diseases will be treated after the treatment of Covid infection. Chief Minister Chouhan said that after food, clothing and shelter, the basic need of human beings is education and health. The cost of construction of this 400-bed hospital is about Rs 360 crore. This hospital has a total ten floors including ground floor and the basement. Machines are being installed on the ground floor for blood, urine, brain test and x-ray. Beds will be installed from the first floor onwards.
On this occasion Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLA Mahendra Hardia, Sushri Usha Thakur, Akash Vijayvargiya, former MLA Sudarshan Gupta and Gaurav Randive were present. Dean MGM Medical College Smt. Jyoti Bindal apprised the Chief Minister with the activities of the hospital. Among others present were Medical Wing in charge of the hospital, Dr. A.D.
