CM Chouhan reviews corona situation and arrangements
Bhopal 16 June 2020: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the pace of corona infection is continuously slowing down in the state. The infection growth rate of Madhya Pradesh has become half as compared to the country. Now, the number of corona active cases has come below 2500. Transform battle against corona into a public campaign and eradicate corona infection completely in the state in cooperation with all, he added.
The Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation of corona in the state and arrangements through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The Minister for Home and Health Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present on the occasion.
Health checkup in every ward
The Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that health team should visit each ward of Bhopal city at this weekend to conduct health checkups. We have to find out every infected person and give medical treatment to him/her and to uproot the infection completely.
Corona Growth rate is 1.82 percent, Doubling rate is 38.43 days
Chouhan informed that the corona growth rate of the state is 1.82 percent as compared to the country’s growth rate of 3.67 percent. Similarly, the doubling rate of corona in the state is 38.43 days, whereas the rate of the country is 19.23 days. The number of active cases in the state has come down to 2 thousand 455. New 148 patients have been found, while 249 patients went back home after the recovery.
Ujjain’s recovery rate is 80 percent, more attention must be paid to contact tracing
In a review of Ujjain district, instructions were given to pay more attention to contact tracing in the district, so that Corona infection could be completely prevented. In Ujjain, 103 cases out of 819 positive cases are active and 649 have recovered. The recovery rate there is 80 percent.
Medical stores must provide information about patients suffering from cold, cough and fever
Chief Minister Chouhan directed that all medical stores should provide information to the drug inspector and medical officer about customers purchasing medicines for fever, cough from their shops. This will help in tracing the infection.
Officer in charge must pay special attention
The Chief Minister directed that officer-in-charge appointed for monitoring Corona in the districts under their charge should pay special attention to the state of Corona in the districts. They should guide the collectors on how Corona infection can be completely eradicated in the districts and every patient should recover.
Mortality rate must be reduced
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed A.C.S. Health Suleman and others to make efforts to minimize Corona mortality rate in Madhya Pradesh. For this, he told them to study all the states where the mortality rate is low and ensure best treatment in Madhya Pradesh, so that every Corona patient recovers.
Free treatment being provided to every Covid patient
The Chief Minister said that every Covid patient is being treated free of cost in the state. All the facilities in the state from testing to treatment of Corona are free of cost. Covid is being treated free of cost in government hospitals and contracted private hospitals –
