MoS Sharad Jain Inaugurates Counselling Portal

Counselling for P.G-2017 Admission in Medical Colleges from Portal  

Bhopal: From now on the process of counselling for admission to P.G-2017 in Medical Colleges will be online. Minister of State (independent charge) for Medical Education Sharad Jain inaugurated the portal www.dme.mponline.gov for counselling process. The portal will contain all information related to P.G admissions. Principal Secretary Medical Education Smt. Gauri Singh and Commissioner Medical Education Manish Rastogi were present at the programe.
Jain informed that the applicant can register complaint from his own ID on the portal in case of any objection related to allotment, scrutiny and admission.

Counselling Committee will give answers to the objections raised on the portal. Candidates eligible for NEET P.G – 2017/NEET M.D.S. -2017 examination can apply online for admission in government autonomous and private medical and dental colleges for M.D, M.S. Diploma and M.D.S post graduation courses for the academic session 2017-18.

Admission for 260 seats of six private medical colleges and 191 seats in 11 private dental science colleges will be provided through online counselling process. This way counselling will be provided for admission in 85 per cent seats in Private Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges and for 50 per cent state quota seats of Government Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges. Registration of 15 per cent NRI quota seats of private medical and dental colleges will also be done through counselling following which admission will be given on college level.

Jain said that registration for the first round of counselling will be from March 25 to April 3. Choice filling and locking will be from March 25 to April 4. Seats will be alloted on April 9. Admission to the allotted college will be from April 11 to April 21.

Online upgradation will be carried out from April 22 to April 23. For the second phase choice filling and locking will be done from May 11 to May 12 while seats will be alloted on May 17. Admission will be from May 18 to May 22. Later choice filling and locking for the remaining seats will be on May 24. Seat allotment will be done on May 27. Admission process will be from May 28 to May 29.-WTN
