Limestone Survey Work in Satna, Dhar and Rewa District

Bhopal: Department of Mineral Resources Madhya Pradesh is carrying out survey work for limestone in Satna, Dhar and Rewa district and for Bauxite in Dindori district. The Department is expecting to obtain a huge quantity of Bauxite and Limestone from these districts. The Department expects to find at least 20.74 million tones of limestone from Dhar district.

As per the new auction policy of the Central Government, the e-auction process of three blocks of limestone and one block of diamond mineral has been done in the first phase of auction. In the next phase of auction of mineral blocks, the Mineral Resources Department is carrying out the auction of two limestone blocks in Sitapuri of Dhar district and in Karoudi Sagoudi in Damoh district. The auction of Khanipatta-Saha-Poorvekshan of Kesharpura limestone block in Neemuch district is being carried out.

Madhya Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation has signed a tripartite MoU with MOYAL and National Mineral Development Corporation (N.M.D.C) to speed up extraction work of minerals in the state. The Department has also made a workplan for detailed survey of mineral estate.-WTN
