Jail To be Constructed in Indore and Burhanpur

Jail Department’s Advisory Committee Meeting
Bhopal: Incomplete work of Central Jail’s building located at Sanver Road in Indore will be started in the next financial year. A provision of Rs. 20 crore has been made in the budget of next financial year for this. It was informed in the Departmental’ Advisory Committee meeting held today in the Chairmanship of Minister for Jail Smt. Kusum Mehdele. Members of the Committee MLAs Rajkumar Mev and Shri Rajendra Meshram were present in the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that a sum of Rs. 9 crore will be spent for construction of Jail building-Burhanpur in the next financial year. There is no jail at present in Burhanpur. Moreover, there is a scheme to construct 17 jails outside cities which have come in the populated area from a total of 41 jails of the state.
The new jails will constructed by the M.P. Housing and Infrastructure Development Board as per the security and advance standard.-WTN
