Meeting of first advisory committee of Environment Department held

Bhopal: A meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Environment Department was held today under the chairmanship of Environment Minister Antar Singh Arya. It was the first meeting of the committee after Environment Department formed. MLA Sanjeev Uike, Principal Secretary Housing and Environment Malay Shrivastava, Additional Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Executive Director of EPCO Anupam Rajan and Member Secretary Pollution Control Board Achyut Mishra were present.
Minister Arya said that it is coincidence that the meeting of first advisory committee of the department was held on World Water Day. It was informed in the meeting that pollution control board is constantly monitoring air pollution for proper control. No building or factory can be set up without permission of the environment department. Online clearance system has been made first time in the state and applicant does not need to visit the office after submitting application. It was informed that the central government has appreciated constant online monitoring and maintenance of water quality during Simhastha by pollution control board.-WTN
