Significant decline in death rate in state in last one week

Positivity rate 1.17 percent during Kill Corona Campaign
CM Chouhan reviews Corona situation and arrangements 
 
Bhopal 10 July 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there has been a significant decline in the Corona death rate in the state in the last one week. During this period, there were 22 deaths among 2053 positive cases, which is 1.1 percent. Efforts are being made to ensure the best arrangement of treatment of Corona in the state so that every patient recovers. So far, 12 thousand 481 Corona patients have gone home after recovery.

So far, survey work of 66 percent population has been completed under Kill Corona campaign, launched to eliminate Corona in the state. During this period, 55 thousand 799 samples have been taken, out of which 655 have been found positive, the state’s positivity rate is 1.17 percent.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation of Corona in the state and arrangements through video conferencing at Mantralaya. Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shivnarayan Mishra, Principal Secretary Health Faiz Ahmed Qidwai were present at the meeting.

No person should cross border without screening

During a review of Jhabua district it was found that there is a possibility in spread of infection due to the to and fro movement from Dahod district of Gujarat state. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that no one should come from the border of the district without screening and should not go there without informing the administration. Chief Secretary Bains directed that more attention should be paid to contact tracing in the district. There are currently 23 active cases in the district, 15 have recovered and gone home.

Focus on how to stop new cases

New cases have come up in Shajapur district in the last 3-4 days. There are 36 active patients in the district and 55 have recovered. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that attention should be paid on how to stop new cases. Contact tracing should be done within 24 hours in positive cases.

Corona testing on the rise

Principal Secretary Qidwai informed that Corona testing is on the rise in the state. Now it has increased to 11 thousand 261 on a daily basis. A large number of samples are being taken under the Kill Corona campaign.

‘Sarthak Light App’ must be used

The ‘Sarthak Light App’ is very useful in controlling Corona. Through this, 65 thousand people have got themselves registered in the state so far, 5 of them have been admitted and are being given treatment. Anyone can avail facility of Corona test and free treatment through the app. Chief Minister Chouhan said that more and more people should download the app and avail its benefits.

Black marketeers will not be spared

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that complaints of shortage of fertilizer are being received from a few districts. Adequate quantity of fertilizer is available in the state. It must be ensured that every farmer is given fertilizer as per his/her requirement. In case of any irregularity or black marketing, I will not spare them.
