Excellent work done for Corona control in Ujjain district

Bhopal 17 July 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that excellent work has been done in controlling Corona in Ujjain district. Initially, Corona infection spread rapidly in Ujjain, but later diligence by the administration coupled with full support of people belonging to various sections of the society helped in controlling the infection. Today, Ujjain is one of the least infected districts of the state. For this, everyone including the district administration deserves to be lauded.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation of corona and arrangements through video conferencing from Ujjain today. Chief Minister Chouhan said that soon Ujjain district will win over Corona with the cooperation of all, but we still need to be extra careful to defeat Corona. People must follow physical distancing, and essentially wear masks. This is the only effective way to avoid Corona.

The Chief Minister gave directions that patients with general symptoms should be kept in home quarantine. Doctors should visit them in their homes and examine them. The Chief Minister said that now it is necessary that no patient dies due to Corona infection. For this, he instructed to work out a concrete strategy. He said that the state government has released new guidelines, in which religious events or festivals will not be celebrated in public. In marriages, only 10 persons each from groom and bridegroom side will be able to take part.

Collector Ashish Singh told that there are 73 active cases in Ujjain district. There are 11 cases in R.D. Gardi Hospital, three in Indore, 44 patients in Madhav Nagar Hospital and 15 people are placed in home isolation. Three of these patients are in a critical condition. Giving information about the fever clinic, the Collector said that 3335 people have been registered in the fever clinics set up in the hospitals, in which 142 Covid suspects were identified. 1412 people were registered in private fever clinics, out of which 254 suspected people were identified. Total 102 positive patients were found from all these places. A fine of Rs 4 lakh 28 thousand was imposed on people who did not wear masks and did not follow rules. Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Singh said that under the Jeevan Mitra Yojana, 80 thousand people of the district were made to take pledge to wear masks. Ten home quarantine checking parties, 12 motorcycle parties, 24 four-wheeler vehicle patrolling parties were formed. As many as 840 police personnel were deployed in containment areas. Monitoring is being done by CCTV cameras also.

The State’s Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, MP Anil Firojia, Mayor Meena Jonwal, MLAs Paras Jain and Bahadur Singh Chouhan besides local public representatives, Commissioner Anand Kumar Sharma, Inspector General of Police Rakesh Gupta, DIG Manish Kapuria and district administration officials were present in the district N.I.C. room during the video conference – Window to News
