Bhopal 17 July 2020: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that corona has been controlled effectively in Ujjain. The administrative team and all deserve congratulations for this, but the crisis is not over yet and new cases of corona are emerging. Even small carelessness can become a reason for crisis. Everyone should maintain self-discipline. Do not move out of the house unnecessarily, wear masks, maintain physical distancing and do not overcrowd the places. Celebrate ensuing festivals at home itself, permission will not be granted to celebrate festivals at public places. Gathering of more than 5 people at a time at religious places is not allowed. Similarly, more than 20 people will not be allowed to attend marriage prorgramme. Only 10 people will be allowed to gather in birthday parties. If these directives is followed strictly than we will be able to control corona totally soon, he added.
The Chief Minister Chouhan attended the programme organized in Ujjain on Friday to extend benefits of Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor scheme besides other schemes to the beneficiaries. He distributed certificates, IDs and Bank Statement symbolically to 4 beneficiaries under the PM Street Vendor Atma-Nirbhar Swanidhi Yojana at Brahaspati Bhavan. Moreover, Chouhan also distributed cheques of the sanctioned amount to women of self-help groups symbolically for making masks and PPE kits under the State Rural Livelihood Mission.
The Chief Minister Chouhan has said that now strategy according to the situation of all districts is being made to tackle corona. Lockdown is also being imposed in Gwalior and Morena. Instructions have been given to pay special attention to infected areas. He appealed to the people to take full precautions and render cooperation to the administration to eliminate corona.
The Chief Minister Chouhan mentioned that along with controlling corona in the state, economic activities have also been started at accelerated pace, so that people should not face economic crisis. Along with the PM Street Vendor Scheme, a scheme has also been launched for street vendors of rural areas of the state. Under these schemes, interest free loan of Rs. 10 thousand is being provided to street vendors involved in small businesses. This loan has to be repaid in one year. After the repayment of the first loan, street vendors will be able to get interest free loan of Rs. 20 thousand again. Also through Rozgar Portal, workers are being given employment online as per their qualifications.
Under the scheme, the Chief Minister Chouhan gave certificates, IDs and bank statement symbolically to Sajanbai of Bhairvagarh, Subhash-Jairam Malviya and Jairam-Gulab Malviya of Ujjain for vegetable business by depositing amount of Rs. 10 thousand in their bank accounts. Similarly, he presented certificate to Shakeel-Vazir Khan towards loan for conducting tea business on thela. The Number of online applications received under the PM Street Vendor Scheme in Ujjain district is 26540. The number of the verified beneficiaries is 18135 till now and the number of eligible beneficiaries to whom identity cards and certificates have been issued is 9189. The number of applications for loan distribution on PM Swanidhi Portal is 3300 and the number of loan distribution on PM Swanidhi Portal is 621. Till now, the number of offline sanctioned cases is 1200. Loan has been distributed to total 116 beneficiaries. Similarly, under the MP State Rural Livelihood Mission, one lakh 74 thousand 765 masks have been made by 256 members of 48 groups in the district and the groups have received Rs. 9.85 lakh. Twenty four members of 3 groups have made 6334 PPE kits and have received dividend of Rs. 2.50 lakh. Cheques worth Rs. 17.50 lakh have been distributed symbolically to Chandesri Ajivika Gram Sangathan, Saraswati Ajivika self-help Group and Satyanarayan Ajivika self-help group.
Those who were present on the occasion include Minister for Higher Education Dr. Mohan Yadav, MP Anil Firojia, former Minister and existing MLA Paras Jain, Mayor Meena Jonwal, MLA Bahadur Singh Chouhan, District Rural BJP President Bahadursingh Bormundla, BJP City President Vivek Joshi, Divisional Commissioner Anand Kumar Sharma, IG Rakesh Gupta, DIG Manish Kapuriya, Collector Ashish Singh and SP Manoj Kumar Singh. The programme was conducted by the Deputy Commissioner Bhavishya Khobragade.
