Exemption of stamp duty on bank loans to street vendors

Bhopal 22 July 2020: A meeting of the Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Cabinet decided to grant compassionate appointments to Sushri Phalguni Pal, daughter of Late Inspector Yashwant Pal to the post of Sub-Inspector and Sushma Chandravanshi, wife of Late Inspector Devendra Kumar Chandravanshi to the post of Sub-Inspector (Special Branch) considering them as special cases.

Approval to new guidelines for horticulture crops

In the sequence of new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India, the Cabinet has approved implementation of a weather-based crop insurance scheme for horticulture crops for the period of Kharif 2020-21 to Rabi 2022-23, under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme.

Incentives to industrial units

The Cabinet approved the amendment related to recognition of manufacturing units with a capital investment of more than Rs 25 crore as mega level industrial units in the garment sector under the Industrial Promotion Policy, 2014. It is worth mentioning that the units investing more than Rs 100 crore in equipments and plant in other manufacturing sector projects have acquired the status of mega level industrial units.
The Cabinet decided to increase the limit of minimum capital investment to avail the benefits of investment promotion assistance under expansion / diversification in the mega level fixed manufacturing units of capital investment of Rs. 25 crores in plant and machinery under the Industrial Promotion Policy, 2014 such as: food processing, biotechnology, herbal and minor forest produce and IT projects in the manufacturing units of the garment sector from Rs 10 crore to Rs 5 crore.

Exemption in stamp duty for street vendors

The Cabinet has decided to increase the stamp duty levied under the Indian Stamp Act to a maximum of Rs 50 for getting loans from banks under the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi Yojana and the Gramin Path Vyavasayi Uthhan Yojana launched by the state government for street vendors in rural areas - Window to News
