Heat Crime -Women immolates and hugs husband to kill him

In an unusual incident a women named Shukhvati allegedly immolated herself in Bundelkhand’s Chhatarpur district, after her husband refused to buy air cooler. As per police she then tried to hug her husband while still ablaze, but he stabbed her with a kitchen knife in a purported attempt to save himself.

Due to rising temperature, the women kept on insisting to buy air cooler. The duo had heated argument.

The woman named Shukhvati was forceful in her opinion that the duo buys a desert cooler in view of the rising temperature. “Finally the wife in a rage drenched herself in kerosene lit a match stick. Then she tried to hug her husband, saying she will die with him. In desperation, the husband Niranjan picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed her.’ police said.
