No restriction on Durga idols of 6 ft height

Bhopal 03 October 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there will be no restriction on Durga idols of 6 ft. to be installed during Durga Utsav, the maximum size of the pandals for this will be 30 x 45 feet, chal samarohs will not be allowed and only up to 10 persons of the organizing committee will be allowed to accompany in immersion of Durga idols. No permission will be given for Garba during Durga Utsav. Ramlila and burning of Ravana’s effigy will be permitted on Dussehra, but it will be completely mandatory to wear masks and observe social distancing in all the events. Such tableaux will not be allowed, which may violate norms of social distancing.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the condition and arrangements of Corona in the state through video conferencing. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, D.G.P. Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and Commissioner Public Relations Sudam Khade were present in the meeting.

“Advance planning” for festivals and winters essential

Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that Corona infection may spread further during the upcoming festivals and in winter season, so “advance planning” in this regard is must. Apart from ensuring total adherence to precautions like masking, social distancing etc., the health infrastructure and facilities should also be expanded in the state.

Number of active patients below 20 thousand

The number of active patients of Corona in the state has come down from 20 thousand to 19807. The reason for this is that the number of patients recovering in proportion to the number of new cases is constantly on the rise. As many as 1811 new cases have been found in the state, while 2101 have recovered and gone home. The number of active patients has come down by 317 in one day.

Recovery rate is 83.4 percent

The recovery rate in the state is continuously on the rise and is 83.4 percent at present. At the same time the death rate of the state is constantly declining, and has come down to 1.79 percent. The positivity rate is 6.32 and tests conducted per lakh is 26 thousand 548.

Outstanding performers to be honoured

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the Collectors, Chief Medical and Health Officers, etc. of the districts where excellent work has been done related to Corona will be honoured. In a review, the work of Burhanpur district was found to be excellent. Three new cases have been found in Burhanpur and the growth rate here is 0.42 percent. Of the total 718 positive cases there, 667 have recovered. Good work has also been done in districts like Agar-Malwa, Bhind, Khandwa etc.

Special attention must be paid to Hoshangabad and Singrauli

In the review it was found that Hoshangabad and Singrauli districts have comparatively higher positivity and growth rate. Hoshangabad has a positivity rate of 17.13 percent and a growth rate of 3.98 percent. Singrauli has a positivity rate of 6.14 percent and growth rate of 2.90 percent. Instructions were given to the collectors of both the districts to pay special attention.

Growth rate of Bhopal is 1.42 percent

In a district wise review it was found that the status of Corona control is improving in all the districts of the state. In 10 districts with maximum Corona cases, the Corona growth rate of Indore is 2.02 percent, Bhopal 1.42 percent, Jabalpur 1.92 percent, Gwalior 0.95 percent, Hoshangabad 3.98 percent, 2.12 percent of Narsinghpur, Sagar 1.85 percent, Shivpuri 1.37 percent, Sehore 1.73 percent and growth rate of Sidhi is 2.81 percent – Window to News
