PS Food Qidwai launches Software

Bhopal 09 October 2020: Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Faiz Ahmed Qidwai inaugurated single window clearance system software for opening petrol and diesel pumps. He said that to open petrol and diesel pumps, applicants had to obtain separate NOCs from 8 departments, due to which the applicants had to wait a long time in getting the permission manually.

Online clearance will be provided

Qidwai stated that physical verification of documents would not be required through this software. In every step of this, reminders about the time-limit can be sent via SMS and email to the concerned department. Each department will update its consent on the portal upon receipt of the application. Once the consent of all the departments is updated on the portal, collector will also file their final report as consent / disagreement on the portal itself. The signed copy of the NOC will then be uploaded into the system. He informed that the software is being updated to release NOC with digital signature.

He said that till now, for opening retail outlets / rural retail outlets, the oil companies along with the application with documents in 8 copies, received from applicants, submit it with the Collector for NOC.

Collector after receiving objection by sending a letter to 8 different departments, sends a final report to the oil company. In this, many times the departments used to send back the application with queries or for submitting additional documents. The entire process that took place manually, used to take 3 to 4 months. Now NOC can be given as soon as possible using the app.

Executive Director and State Head, Indian Oil V. Satish Kumar, gave suggestions for developing a digital platform. Managing Director Civil Supplies Corporation Abhijeet Agrawal, CGM Padam Pandey, GM IT Nirmal Kumar Jana and Piyush Mittal were also present on the occasion – Window to News
