State Forest Development Corporation presents Rs 111 crore 44 lakh cheque to CM

Bhopal: A cheque of Rs 111 crore 44 lakhs, (dividend amount payable to the state government by Madhya Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation) was handed over to the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar, State Forest Development Corporation Chairman Guruprasad Sharma and Additional Chief Secretary Forest Deepak Khandekar were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Chouhan also released a book based on the Corporation’s achievements. It was informed that for the first time over Rs 100 crores dividend was given by the Forest Development Corporation. The Corporation is in profit and nearly 40 lakh man day’s employment has been created through the Forest Department.

State Forest Development Corporation Managing Director Ravi Shrivastava and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Animesh Shukla were present on the occasion.-WTN
