Awareness for voting is being generated in voters of rural areas

Bhopal 20 October 2020: Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mohit Bundas informed that voters in rural areas are being made conscious through SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation Programme) for voting in assembly constituencies. Sector officers, BLOs, ASHA workers, Aanganwadi workers and members of Livelihood Self-Help Groups are constantly working in this campaign of voter awareness. Awareness is being generated among the voters through posters, banners, wall paintings, rangolis and programmes like mass voter oaths, rallies, Ghar Ghar Dastak and Chunavi Pathshala.
Voters of rural areas of Anuppur and Jaithari Janpads are being informed about the process of voting through mock poll. The EVMs and VVPATs are being demonstrated by the Sector Officers at the polling station level. During this, voters themselves are understanding the entire process by casting votes.
