Narmada Seva Yatra Reaches Narsinghpur District

Yatra Accorded Welcome at Hirapur 

Bhopal: “Namami Devi Narmade” Seva Yatra started with an objective to conserve the lifeline, Maa Narmada reached at the shore of Sindur river near village Hirapur of Chanwarpatha block-Narsinghpur district. MLA Sanjay Sharma welcomed the yatra. On behalf of the Raisen district, flag and kalash of yatra were handed over to the Narsinghpur district by the President Janpad Udaipura Virendra Singh Chouhan, President Nagar Palika Keshav Patel and other public representatives. MLA Sanjay Sharma and Former Vice Chairman of APEX Bank Kailash Soni received the kalash and flag on behalf of the Narsinghpur district. Pooja-Archana of the flag and kalash was performed.

Chairman State Women Commission and in charge of Narmada Seva Yatra of North bank of river Narmada in Narsinghpur district Smt. Lata Vankhede, Chairman District Cooperative Central Bank Virendra Foujdar, Former National Vice Chairman of Nehru Youth Centre Vishnudutt Sharma, Collectors of Raisen and Narsinghpur, devotees and villagers were present on the occasion.
Grand Welcome Accorded to Yatra in District

Roads were decorated with flowers and toran gates of banana leaves to welcome the yatra at the arrival. Women holding kalashs welcomed the yatra. Yatris were welcomed showering flowers and rangolis were made in front of the houses and roads. Youth holding flags riding horses were leading the yatra. Yatra was welcomed amid mantras’ chanting, swastivachan and conch sound besides beating drums. Several thousand villagers including women, youth and elders participated in procession covering about 3 k.m. from the shore of Sindur River. Atmosphere was reverberating with slogans of Narmada river conservation and “Twadiya Pad Pankajam-Namami Devi Narmade”.

Flowers were showered on the yatris, Narmada kalash and flag by drones at the shore of Sindur River.-WTN
