Bhopal: Keeping in account the mineral resources, Madhya Pradesh is one among the 8 mineral rich states of the country. Mainly 8 kinds of minerals are found in the state. Madhya Pradesh which has monopoly in diamond mining also holds first position in the country in copper ore and manganese production. Beside this the state holds second position in rock phosphate and 4th place in coal besides lime stone production.-WTN
