Every Year 2.5 Lakh Youth to be trained
Bhopal: Every year two lakh 50 thousand youth would be trained under the Chief Minister’s Skill Enhancement Scheme. The training to be provided under the scheme would be such that its fulfillment would not be possible in the traditional ITI courses.
Minister of State (independent charge) for Technical Education Shri Deepak Joshi told that priority would be given to young workers who have left formal education system and who want to verify their informal skills and such persons who want self-employment by enhancing their skills. Youths from Naxal-affected areas would be given residential training. Youths belonging to the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-nomadic class would also be trained.
Youth will be imparted training related to Costumes and Interior Decoration, Automobiles, Capital Goods, Woodwork, Technician, Construction, Domestic Work, Electronics and Hardware, Agriculture, Green Job, Plumber, Food Processing, Retail, I.T. Security, Telecom, Tourism and Hospitality and Financial Services. Skill proficiency levels have been fixed on the basis of National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). Skill Training programmes will also be conducted for which employers would ensure employment under contract.-WTN
