Urge to make Society Addiction Free in Jan-Samvad
Bhopal: Narmada Seva Yatra reached village Dobhi of block Chanwarpatha on second day after its arrival in Narsinghpur district. Yatra was accorded grand welcome in Dobhi. Standing besides the road women, men and children welcomed yatra showering flowers. Women holding kalashs on their heads welcomed the yatra.
Dignity of girls was added in the Jan-Samvad held at Dobhi. Newborn upto 2 months old babies of the village were honoured and given names in the programme. Baijanti daughter of Rakesh Kahar was named Pritikalpa and clothes beside gifts were presented to her. Guests told the parents to educate girl. Like this, yatra is also giving a message of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ now to the people.
Guests in Jan-Samvad called upon the people to plant fruit bearing and umbrageous trees on the banks of Narmada River beside their protection, not to pollute Narmada water, to maintain cleanliness and to make the society addiction free. Social, economic, literary, spiritual, mythological and religious importance of Narmada river was narrated through music and songs by the team of kala pathak artists.
Pooja of Narmada’s flag and kalash was performed at Dobhi. Sant Balakdas Maharaj, Chairman State Women Commission Smt. Lata Vankhede, Chairman State Senior Citizen Welfare Commission V.G. Dharmadhikari, Vice Chairman Vibhishan Singh, MLAs Shri Sanjay Sharma, Jalam Singh, President Jila Panchayat Sandeep Patel beside other public representatives and citizens in large number were present on the occasion.
