Over 4.50 lakh Students Join Vigyan Club
Bhopal: ‘Vigyan-Mitra Club’ has been formed in 9297 Middle Schools of the state in the academic year 2016-17. A total of 4 lakh 64 thousand 850 have been linked to the Vigyan-Mitra Clubs.
The Vigyan–Mitra clubs have been formed with an objective to encourage students to find out solutions of problems related to daily routine life with scientific approach.
Beside this students will be inspired for environmental conservation with scientific approach. Moreover, generation of awareness among people towards eradication of superstition, old customs and social evils prevalent in the society is the objective of the club. Process to select active students of class 6, 7 and 8 has been started.
A maximum number of 50 students has been fixed in each club. Students have been encouraged to maintain sanitation in school premises through clubs. Special responsibility has been entrusted to the students to keep school premises polythene free. School Education department has also provided the financial assistance under the Sarva-Shiksha Abhiyan.
The Vigyan-Mitra Clubs will be formed in all the 30 thousand 432 government middle schools of the state by the State Education Centre in the year 2017-18. Necessary directives have been issued to all the District Project Coordinators regarding the Vigyan-Mitra Club.-WTN
