CM Chouhan visits Chaudhary family of Mehgawan

Bhopal 23 January 2021: For the poor Chaudhary family residing in the Chaudhary Mohalla of Mehgawan village in Jabalpur, Saturday was no less than a celebration as Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited them today. Chief Minister Chouhan reached the house of truck driver Ashok Chaudhary and met his family members. Ashok Chaudhary and his wife Smt. Mala Chaudhary welcomed the Chief Minister wholeheartedly and served him tea with hot bhaijyas and poha. Chief Minister Chouhan fed Khushi, the younger daughter of the Chaudhary family, with his own hands.

While interacting with the Chaudhary family, Chief Minister Chouhan, sought information about the facilities they were receiving from the government. Ashok Chaudhary told him that he is a truck driver and his wife Smt. Mala Chaudhary runs a small grocery shop in the house and contributes to the family income. They have three daughters and a son. Elder daughter Heena Chaudhary is married, while Khushi Chaudhary and son Anurag Chaudhary are studying in school.

His wife has received a loan assistance of Rs 10,000 to expand their business under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana and she is also associated with the women’s self-help group. The family is also a beneficiary of Sambal Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan persuaded Khushboo, daughter of the Chaudharys and a dropout after Class VIII, to take admission in school again and start studying.

Not only the Chaudhary family but the entire Mehgawan village wore a festive look on the news of Chief Minister Chouhan’s arrival. Neighbours also reached Mala’s house. Mala and Ashok said that Chief Minister Chouhan is coming to their house for breakfast. For them there was no greater happiness than this. Ashok said that he had never imagined that the head of the state could come to his house. Ashok had cleaned up his house in the morning itself and prepared to receive Chief Minister Chouhan.

Chief Minister Chouhan will be accompanied by Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh, MLA Ashok Rohani, Abhilash Pandey, GS Thakur, Ranu Tiwari and Dr. Jitendra Jamdar were also present – Window to News
