CM Chouhan hoists the flag and takes the salute in Rewa on Republic Day

Bhopal 26 January 2021: A colourful and grand event was organized at SAF Maidan, Rewa on Republic Day. Chief guest on the occasion, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, hoisted the flag and took the salute of the parade. The parade of security forces was attractive and thrilling. Attractive tableaux of various departments depicting the development of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh and the state were presented at the ceremony. Chief Minister Chouhan sent off balloons into the sky on the occasion. He got acquainted with the parade commander and platoon commanders. The Madhya Pradesh song was also sung during the programme. Amidst celebratory firing by the police force, slogans of Mahamahim Rashtrapati ki Jai were raised.

While addressing the people on Republic Day, Chief Minister Chouhan said that heartland Madhya Pradesh will be transformed into the best state. For this, the cooperation of every citizen along with government and administration is necessary. When eight crore people of the state move their steps forward, the path of development of the state will be paved. Happy Republic Day to the people of the state.

The Chief Minister said that efforts are being made to generate self-employment and Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. A five-year action plan is being prepared for the development of villages along with cities. Rewa is a glorious district of the state. No stone will be left unturned in its development. During the Corona crisis, record wheat was procured on support price in the state with major contribution from Rewa. Rewa is among the five prominent districts who excelled in paddy procurement. Rs 1000 crore has been provided to farmers of Rewa for wheat and paddy. Rewa is also known for its unique art of making betel nut artworks and the unique Sundaraja mango. Arrangements will be made to sell them all over the world. Increasing their production will lead to employment at the local level and economic development of the district.

The Chief Minister said that I am bowing to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the occasion of Republic Day. His slogan Give me blood, I will give you freedom has lit the flame of freedom in the country. Netaji unfurled the tricolor after liberating the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from the British. Today the brave heroes whose sacrifices led to the freedom of the country are being remembered. The Chief Minister said that the state had to face Corona crisis a year ago. Our doctors, nurses, police and administration put their lives at risk to serve people to battle against Corona. Under the leadership of the country’s visionary Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, we fought a decisive battle to defeat Corona. Corona warriors were felicitated and the country was locked down on the Prime Minister’s call. Vehicles, food and treatment services were provided to lakhs of migrant labourers. Now the clouds of Corona crisis have started dispersing. The Corona recovery rate now is 96.6 percent. The courage for the battle against Corona is incomparable.

The Chief Minister told that record work was accomplished under the MNREGA scheme during the Corona crisis. Pension, food grains and scholarships were distributed regularly to the disabled. Salaries of government servants were regularized. Their arrears amount was cleared. He said that efforts will be made to develop the entire Vindhya region including Rewa. For this, an action plan has been prepared on which work will be done at a rapid pace. Along with the development works, land mafia, mining mafia, drug traffickers, people who loot the public through chit fund companies and those who misbehave with women and force their religious conversion will not be allowed to stay on the land of Madhya Pradesh.

Campaigns are being carried out against mafia in the entire state. Even adulterators will not be spared. Land worth Rs 8000 crores has been freed from the illegal possession of mafias. 
The Chief Minister said that girls will be given full opportunity to move forward. Pankh campaign has been launched for the safety and dignity of women. Farmers are being given the benefit of crop insurance and Kisan Samman Nidhi. Benefits of over Rs 83 thousand crore has been distributed to farmers in a year. The scheme for agricultural loans at zero percent interest has been resumed. Sambal Yojana is being relaunched to benefit the poor in education, health, maternity assistance, insurance security and funeral assistance. Over two crore beneficiaries are being given free treatment assistance of up to Rs five lakh every year under the Ayushman Yojana. Concrete housing facility will be provided to every poor in the state by 2024. In the next four years, tap water supply will be provided to every household in the state. For this, the work of group tap water scheme has started in more than 12 thousand villages.

The Chief Minister said that for good governance, income and bonafide resident certificates will be provided through mobile. Women self-help groups are doing excellent work in the state. An amount of more than Rs 900 crores was released to them. Every effort will be made to make the local vocal. A network of upgraded roads is being laid in Vindhya. The irrigation potential of the state has been increased from 7.5 lakh hectare to 41 lakh hectare which will be further increased to 65 lakh hectares. Rs 18 thousand crore is being given to the general public as power subsidy. Rewa has done wonderful work in solar energy. It has the largest solar project of 750 MW. Interest-free loan of Rs 10 thousand has been given to more than three lakh street vendors to provide employment opportunities. In the Corona crisis, the players of the state have won more than two hundred medals.

The Chief Minister said that every opportunity for the development of the state will be taken up. In order to develop the state, all possible efforts must be made. Every person should fulfill his responsibility and do some or the other work of social service. A campaign will also be launched in the state for de-addiction and safety and dignity of women. When every citizen of the state contributes to development, the picture and destiny of the state will definitely change.

The Chief Minister honoured officers and employees with citations for their outstanding performance in various fields. The Chief Minister patted the little girls in the tableau of Women and Child Development Department and blessed the karate players for their message of safety of women.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his wife Sadhana Singh at the programme. The programme was attended by MP Janardan Mishra, MLA Rewa and former Minister Rajendra Shukla, MLA Semaria KP Tripathi, MLA Sirmaur Divyaraj Singh, MLA Tyanthar Shyamlal Dwivedi, MLA Devtalab Girish Gautam, MLA Mauganj Pradeep Patel, MLA Mangawan Panchulal Prajapati, District BJP President Dr. Ajay Singh and other public representatives were present.
