Grand Programme on Baba Ambedkar’s 126th Birth Anniversary

Chief Minister Chouhan Reviews Preparations 

Bhopal: A grand programme would be organized at Ambedkar Nagar Mhow on the 126th birth anniversary of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Ambedkar on coming April 14. Like every year, this year also the state government would be organizing Ambedkar Mahakumbh at Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s birthplace Mhow. The “Gramoday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan” would also be inaugurated in this programme. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today took a review meeting for the preparations. Chief Secretary B.P Singh was also present at the meeting.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the preparations for the programme should be completed well in time. Special attention should be paid to the facilities to be provided devotees who are expected to reach Mhow on Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary celebrations. Food and housing arrangements should be made for the devotees. Arrangement for additional buses for devotees from Khandwa to Mhow should be made. Swagat Kendra should be made for the assistance of devotees at Khandwa railway station. All essential arrangements including adequate security should be made at Ambedkar Memorial. Assistance of voluntary organizations and citizens should be sought for the arrangements.

The main programme would be followed by the Harmony Lunch. Devotees in a large number from the state and outside will take part in the grand programme.

Additional Chief Secretary Prabhanshu Kamal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashok Vernawal, Principal Secretary Scheduled Caste Development Smt. Deepali Rastogi, Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Society Chairman Bhante Sanghasheel, Divisional Commissioner Indore Sanjay Dubey, Secretary to Chief Minister Vivek Agrawal, Collector Indore P. Narhari and local committee office-bearers were present on the occasion.-WTN
