Awareness Generated among People for Water Conservation, Women’s Dignity and De-Addiction

Yatra Proceeded from Narsinghpur District for Jabalpur
Bhopal: ‘Namami Devi Narmade’-Seva Yatra being conducted for conservation of lifeline Maa Narmada is becoming instrumental in linking people with social concerns. The yatra has generated awareness among the people for water conservation, rivers’ cleanliness, women’s dignity and towards the ill effects of addiction. On April 5, the yatra had entered Narsinghpur district on northern bank of Narmada River from Raisen district. After covering several villages during 5 days, yatra proceeded for Jabalpur district on 6th day. A message of Narmada conservation was given in the towns and villages situated on the banks of Narmada river. The yatra passing by village Hirapur-Neemkheda of Narsinghpur block reached village Meregaon of Janpad Panchayat Shahpura –Jabalpur district.
The yatra was accorded welcome by the Minister of State for Medical Education (Independent Charge) Sharad Jain, MLA Smt. Pratibha Singh and Public Representative at its arrival in Jabalpur district. MLA Jalam Singh Patel handed over the yatra’s flag at final destination of Narsinghpur district to Shri Jain at Meregaon. Kalash was received by the MLA Smt. Pratibha Singh.
Several Sadhu- Sants, Sadhvi Pragya Bharti, Mahant Balak Das Maharaj, Collector Dr. R.R. Bhonsle, Collector Jabalpur Maheshchandra Chowdhary, Public Representatives, Officers and innumerable villagers were present on the occasion.-WTN
