CM Chouhan had lunch at Rajendra’s house in Katni

Bhopal 06 February 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Rajendra Shriwas, a resident of Maharana Pratap Ward, Jhinjhari under Municipal Corporation area during his stay in Katni district and had lunch with the family. The Shriwas family applied tilak and welcomed the Chief Minister with bouquets.
During this, Chief Minister Chouhan enquired about the condition of Rajendra’s family. Rajendra said that his dream of a pucca house has been fulfilled by the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Rajendra said that he is a barber by profession and runs his ancestral shop, through which he earns a monthly income of about Rs 4-5 thousand. His family consists of his wife Rajkumari, three daughters and son Ashish. Their two daughters are married. His son Ashish works for MP Online.
His unmarried daughter Jyoti Shakti runs a self-help group Samarthya. This group manufactures Stree Swabhiman sanitary pads at home. Chief Minister Chouhan told them not to worry about the marriage of their daughter Jyoti. The state government will provide all possible help. Rajendra informed that he is registered under the Prime Minister Street Vendors Scheme. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the concerned officials to ensure that Rajendra gets the benefits of the said scheme to expand his ancestral shop.
Rajendra’s wife, Rajkumari told that she is very happy to have the head of the state amidst.
She and her daughter cooked bottle gourd (lauki), lady finger (bhindi), fenugreek (methi), dal-chawal, roti, puri, and dalia for the Chief Minister. Daughter Jyoti served them with love and affection. Chief Minister Chouhan said that he was overwhelmed with the hospitality with which the family served him. After the meal, Chief Minister Chouhan also posed for group photographs with the family.
