Khajuraho will become an ideal centre for tourism
Chhatrasal Convention Centre dedicated on the holy soil of Maharaja Chhatrasal
Bhopal 26 March 2021: Chhatta tere raj mein, dhak dhak dharti hoye… Jit jit ghoda pag dhare, tita tita heera hoye… With these lines, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, paid obeisance to glory of Maharaja Chhatrasal ad the holy land of Bundelkhand, and said that, Khajuraho will be established as an international center of art and culture to place it on the global stage. He said that India has a tradition of Atithi Devo Bhavaah throughout the year where guests are treated with utmost respect and honour. Taking this tradition forward, a new chapter is being written in Khajuraho, Bundelkhand and all regions of Madhya Pradesh for the development of tourism. He said that this sacred land is also known for various names like Ratnagrabha Vasundhara, Annapurna Vasundhara and now Tiger State, Leopard State and for the conservation of vultures. There are immense possibilities of tourism here.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Khajuraho will be established as an ideal center of tourism. For this, the experience of the people working in the tourism sector will be utilized. Along with this, work will be done to ensure that Khajuraho Dance Festival meets international standards.
Chief Minister Chouhan informed that the Chhatrasal Convention Center, built at a cost of Rs 51 crore 43 lakh under Swadesh-Darshan scheme, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities due to the efforts of the central and state governments. He said that during the dedication of this center, a discussion will be held with 141 tour operators, MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conference Exhibition) operators, event management agency, travel agents and other stake holders from various regions of the country and Khajuraho and Madhya Pradesh will be developed for MICE tourism. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is being ensured that business and corporate meetings etc. should be organized national and international level along with tourism here.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Khajuraho has been chosen as one of the 19 Iconic Cities of India. This is an evidence of how rich Bundelkhand’s ancient heritage is. Chief Minister Chouhan said that tourism will also get a boost in ‘Home Stay’, ‘Gram Stay’ scheme. He told that even people living in palaces want to stay in slums for mental, spiritual peace and new experiences. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Khajuraho is proof enough of not only art, culture but also of yoga, spirituality and how can a person lead a perfect and happy life.
Ken-Betwa link project to transform the picture and fate of Bundelkhand
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Ken-Betwa Link Project launched in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently, will change both the picture and the fate of Bundelkhand. He said that while on the one hand the water problem will be solved, the Ken-Betwa project on the other hand, will make the entire Bundelkhand green.
Encroachments on ancient heritage should be strictly removed
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan instructed the collector to strictly remove the encroachments on the ancient heritage and ponds of Khajuraho and work for its conservation, renovation and beautification.
Statue of Vallabhbhai Patel and Maharaja Chhatrasal will be installed
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that soon a grand statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Maharaja Chhatrasal, a symbol of national unity will be installed at Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Center of Khajuraho.
Main Madhya Pradesh Chapter of Indian Convention Promotion Bureau dedicated
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated the Madhya Pradesh Chapter of the Indian Convention Promotion Bureau by displaying the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Indian Convention Promotion Bureau, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, National Human Resource Development and other organizations.
My attempt is to bring back the ancient glory of Khajuraho: Patel
Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) Prahlada Singh Patel said that it is my endeavour to bring back the ancient glory of Khajuraho. This morning I even prayed to Bhagwan Matangeshwar. The inscriptions of Khajuraho will be protected and placed on the global platform.
Patel said that I bow to the sacred land of Khajuraho and take an oath that I will continue to make unceasing efforts to bring back the ancient glory of Khajuraho and establish it on the global stage. He said that the inscriptions of Khajuraho will be protected and established on the world stage. Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched several schemes to overcome the damage caused to tourism during the Corona period, which will develop the tourism sector and strengthen the economic condition of the people associated with tourism.
Minister of State for Tourism, Patel said that old kuchcha houses will also have to be preserved for the coming generations so that they can have a glimpse of our ancient culture and heritage. This will help them to sense the fragrance of how life was in old, kuchcha houses. Patel said that people come to witness the culture of India from the country and abroad and our country has many such rare heritage which cannot be found nowhere else in the whole world. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved his efficiency. Italy and America, which are considered the best in terms of health, could not be of any assistance to any other country during Corona period. However, India provided assistance in the field of health by providing Corona vaccine to 167 countries.
Tourism and Culture Minister of the state, Sushri Usha Thakur said that Khajuraho is a historical heritage and it has brought glory to Madhya Pradesh in not only the whole country but the whole world. He said that while Khajuraho has tourism opportunities, on the other hand, Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Center will prove to be a milestone for development. He said that steps are also being taken by the Tourism Department to make Madhya Pradesh self-reliant by creating employment opportunities.
Khajuraho to have an international center of yoga
Khajuraho MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma said that an International Yoga Center will be set up in Khajuraho, which will provide tourists from all over the world a place to visit and attain mental, spiritual peace. He said that world-class facilities are being set up by the Madhya Pradesh government to place Khajuraho on the global platform.
