Seeds and Flowers of Mahua will be Purchased at Rs. 30 per k.g.

Bhopal: Seeds and flowers of Mahua will be purchased at the rate of Rs. 30 per k.g. now which is being sold at the rate about Rs. 15 per k.g. at present. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made this announcement in Umaria Utsav held at Umaria. He appealed to plant more mahua trees on the occasion.

CM Chouhan mentioned that core of achaar (Chironji Nuts) will be purchased at the rate of Rs. 80 per k.g. He further said that shoes to males who pluck tendu leaves and slippers to women besides water bottle will be provided. Chouhan stated that reasonable rates will be given for other forest produces. He told youths to establish forest produce based small and cottage industries in Umaria district. Loan upto Rs. 2 crore will be provided and Loan guarantee will be given by the state government. Also subsidy will be provided. He said that branding of women self help groups’ products will be done linking them with the banks. Chouhan also participated in Bhajan Sandhya.

Chouhan further mentioned that fee of students for pursuing higher studies in higher educational institutions will be borne by the state government on securing over 75 percent marks in 12th examination. Minister for Tribal Welfare and MP Gyan Singh, Minister for Agriculture Gourishankar Bisen, District incharge Minister Omprakash Dhurve, MLA Manpur Smt. Meena Singh, MLA Bandhavgarh Shivnarayan Singh, President Nagar Palika Smt. Kanchan Khattar, Vinod Gotiya, art buffs of the district and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.-WTN
