Bhopal: “Prakatya Panchami” will be celebrated on May 1, 2017 in the entire Madhya Pradesh as a form of cultural unity. The Culture Department will be the nodal department for the programme which is being organised to celebrate Adwait Darshan’s first Acharya Adi Guru Shankaracharyaji’s “Prakatya Panchami”.
A four-member core-committee has been constituted including Principal Secretary Culture Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister S.K. Mishra, Deputy Secretary Neeraj Vashishth and officer on special duty Manish Pandey to take all kinds of decisions related to the programme.
A massive central programme will be held in Bhopal on “Prakatya Panchami” while a seminar and cultural programmes will be held in Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar, Gwalior, Ujjain and Indore. In the first phase, an intellectual seminar will be organised followed by cultural programme. In addition to this, programmes will be organised in coordination with other departments by the collectors of all the districts of the state.
Collectors will organise seminar and cultural programmes with local support. Speakers who can throw light on the life and works of Adi Shankaracharya will be invited. Maximum one-kilometre run will be organised for cultural unity at all the district headquarters in the morning. Smaran Prasang of Adi Shankaracharya will be organised at the block headquarters and gram panchayat level. Participation of local elite citizens, youths, social, spiritual, cultural and non government organisations, Rotary Club, Lions Club and local Sant Samaj will be ensured for different programmes at all levels.
In order to organise all kinds of activities in the district, the Collectors have appointed the Deputy Collectors or equivalent category officers as nodal officers and issued necessary instructions to make their names, post, telephone number, Mobile number, e-mail, fax available to the Principal Secretary Culture.-WTN
