Sarpanchs and Panchs’ Honorarium Released in Advance

Bhopal: Amount of honorarium payable to Sarpanchs and Panchs of Gram Panchayats is being deposited by the state government directly in the banks accounts of Gram Panchayats linked to the Panchayat Raj Directorate. Advance amount of honorarium has been deposited recently by the directorate after the directives of the state government. Details of head and panchayat wise amount are available in the receipt option on Panchayat Darpan portal.

Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Radheshyam Julaniya informed that a decision to deposit honorarium directly to Gram Panchayats’ bank accounts from directorate has been taken after receiving complaints about non receipt of honorarium from certain sarpanchs and panchs. This will help in receiving honorarium regularly by the sarpanchs and panchs. Complete information has been made available on the portal.

Julaniya further informed that a provision has been made by the government to pay Rs. 1750 per month to sarpanchs and a sum of Rs. 100 per meeting to panchs maximum Rs. 600 for six meetings. Recently advance 6 months honorarium amount for sarpanchs and 3 meetings’ honorarium amount for panchs has been sent in gram panchayats’ bank accounts.-WTN
