Complete work of road-bridges built with the help of NDB- Public Works Minister Bhargav

Works worth Rs 4875 crore continuing with the help of NDB
82 roads and 80 bridges completed at a cost of Rs 2240 crore 
 
Bhopal 23 June 2021: Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargav has said that all the works worth Rs.4875 crore, conducted with the help of New Development Bank, should be completed within the time-limit. He gave this instruction at a meeting held to review of the NDB project works at the Mantralaya. Under the project, the construction work of 741 km long 82 roads and 80 bridges has been completed at a cost of Rs.2240 crore.

Minister Bhargav said that upgradation of district roads, renovation, reconstruction of bridges are being done on priority with the financial support of New Development Bank. The construction of these roads will speed up the traffic in the state, it will directly benefit the economic development of the state. He said that these works should be completed within the stipulated time frame and quality.

Principal Secretary Public Works Department Neeraj Mandloi informed that a contract was signed between the Madhya Pradesh Government and New Development Bank for the upgradation and renewal of 82 roadways of 1905 kms with an amount of Rs 3250 crore and for the construction and reconstruction of projects of 156 bridges at a cost of Rs 1628 crore in the year 2018. As much as 70 percent of the expenditure on these projects was received by the New Development Bank through the Government of India in the form of loan to Madhya Pradesh and 30 percent amount was provided by the state government from its budget.
Mandloi informed that 25 roads with a length of 741 km at a cost of Rs. 1693 crore and 80 bridges at a cost of Rs 547 crore have been completed under the project.

Construction of bridges in Indore, Mandsaur, Hoshangabad and Khandwa also in this project

Under the NDB project, the construction of flyover in Indore city, bridge over Narmada river in Hoshangabad and Shivna river in Mandsaur and over-bridge in Khandwa city is also being undertaken under this project.

Instructions for the proposal of Sagar to Jabalpur Fourlane

Minister Gopal Bhargav emphasized the need to develop the district road connecting Sagar city to Jabalpur as a four-lane road. He instructed the MD, Road Development Corporation Shashank Mishra to prepare the project of Sagar-Jabalpur road. He said that this route would be the shortest route connecting Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Damoh districts of Bundelkhand region to the states of Chhattisgarh and Orissa via Jabalpur – Window to News
