CM Chouhan Reviews ‘Gramoday to Bharat Uday’ Campaign 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made announcement towards increase in salaries of Employment Assistants from Rs. 7 thousand to Rs. 9 thousand for performing best in execution of Gramoday to Bharat Uday campaign. Chouhan was reviewing the progress of ‘Gramoday to Bharat Uday’ campaign with district Collectors through video conferencing at Mantralaya today.

CM Chouhan mentioned that the state government has always come forward to provide help for employees welfare. The employees are integral part of the government and administration. He stated that action will be taken against employees creating hindrance in public welfare works. Stern action like terminating their services can also be taken against anti people activities of the employees.

The state government has always taken generous decisions in the interest of the employees but stubborn attitude on the issue of public interest will not be tolerated. Chouhan directed to hold meeting of Employees Welfare Committee once in three months. He further mentioned that action will be taken against employees making efforts intentionally to make the state government important public welfare campaign unsuccessful.

Reviewing the “Gramoday to Bharat Uday’ campaign district wise, Chouhan instructed all the collectors to complete the restoration works of water bodies in each gram panchayat or construction of new water bodies till June 30 initiating it at the earliest. He obtained information from the district collectors about the attendance in Krishi Gram Sansad, Vikas Gram Sansad and Mahila Gram Sansad. Where there was less people’s participation in the districts, he directed them to hold the gram sansad again. While issuing directives regarding purchase of minor forest produces, Chouhan said that the state government has fixed the rates of important forest produces. Forest produces’ collectors should be protected from exploitation and to provide them the reasonable rates of their labour is the priority of the government.

Competent Persons Should Withdraw their Names from BPL List Voluntarily

Chouhan directed the district collectors to make such an arrangements as regard to the Below Poverty Line list that competent persons should withdraw their names from the list on their own otherwise the state government will delete their names from the list. He mentioned that such competent persons include persons who own four wheelers. List include entrepreneurs and traders who pay income tax, persons whose family members are serving government and people who owns more than 5 acre irrigated land. Chouhan further mentioned that competent persons cannot avail the benefit meant for below poverty line category. They should withdraw their names on their own.

CM Chouhan stated that houses will be provided to the houseless persons in the state. He directed the district collectors to prepare a list of eligible beneficiaries of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana and Pradhamantri Ujjawala Yojana so that benefits of these schemes can be provided to them. He said that disable persons will need not got to the banks to withdraw amount of the state government’s welfare schemes. Arrangements will be made soon with the cooperation of the banks to make the amount available at their homes itself. Chouhan directed the district collectors to deliberate with the banks and establish coordination in this regard.

Chief Minister Chouhan informed that all district in-charge ministers will visit villages during Gramodaya Abhiyan and review progress. He instructed collectors that they make arrangements to resolve applications to be received by in-charge ministers in district itself and submit report to them for resolving so that campaign can be successful and meaningful. He said that districts performing better will be awarded and mentioned in confidential report. Chief Minister Chouhan informed that 'Krishi Mahotsava' will be continued till June 21 in place of June 2.

Narmada Seva Yatra

The Chief Minister told collectors that Narmada Seva Mission will be launched in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 15 at Amarkantak. He said that entire world society is watching Narmada Seva Yatra. He instructed collectors that they should connect devotees of Narmada Seva, non government organisations, social organisations, self help groups and common people with Narmada Seva. He said works like construction of temporary toilets in Amarkantak, food arrangements, registration of Narmada Seva Yatris should be made on priority basis. Chouhan also informed about wide plantation programme to be held on July 2 on Narmada Ji's shores.

 'Prakatya Panchami' of Aadi Shankaracharya to be celebrated across State
'Prakatya Panchami' of Aadi Shankaracharya will be celebrated across the state on May 1. He said that India would not have been in this united form, had Aadi Shankaracharya not been here. He said that metal collection work for manufacturing of eight-metal statues of Aadi Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar will be held between June 1 to June 30. Cultural programmes will be organised  in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Rewa, Sagar and Omkareshwar on philosophy of Aadi Shankaracharya. He instructed collectors of these districts to make necessary preparations. He said that scholars of philosophy should be invited for delivering lectures. People will be informed in this regard in special Gram Sabhas.

 The Chief Minister said that 'Chalo ITI Abhiyan' will be held on May 11 for promotion of employment oriented education. He said that special session of legislative assembly will be held on May 3 for approving GST bill. In this session, resolution will be passed considering Narmada Ji as living entity.

 Chouhan said that wheat procurement has started. He instructed collectors that they should ensure that farmers are given payment on time. He instructed to prepare a list of possible problems to be faced by farmers so that they can be redressed immediately.

 Chouhan said that applications will be resolved in last phase of Gramoday Abhiyan between May 22 and 30. All district in-charge ministers will review it. They will participate in district planning committee meeting and approve development works suggested during the campaign for people.

 All Ministers, Chief Secretary BP Singh and senior officers of departments concerned were present in the video conference.-WTN
