Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Chouhan plant ‘Trigundi’ in Mandla

Bhopal: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today planted Trigundi (Peepal, Bargad, Neem) at Kumbh Sthal in Mandla.

According to the Shastras, Parikrama of Trigundi (where Peepal, Bargad and Neem grow together) is considered very auspicious and can fetch one three times the blessings. This trio is known as Triveni, Tridev and Triguni.

As soon as Home Minister Rajnath Singh reached the plantation venue, tribal folk dancers welcomed him with Baigaye Gondaye Sailaye Karma and Reena dance. These dance teams have given performances in several programmes of national level and have even participated in film mahotsav.

Earlier Narmada aarti was conducted at Kumbh Sthal on the banks of the Narmada in which Narmada Yatris, government and administration representatives and local people took part.

Mixed species of 40 saplings were planted on the banks of Narmada which included Neem, Peepal, Bargad, Kadamb, Jamun, Kaith, Subbool, Mango, Guava and other fruit bearing and shady trees. A massive tree plantation programme will be organized in this spot up to one km distance on 25 m width on July 2. People were given information through Krishak Vaniki about Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, plantation on private land and Vandoot Yojana.

Micro, Small Industries Minister Sanjay Satyendra Pathak, Tribal Finance Development Corporation Chairman Shivraj Shah, Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Shiv Choubey, Rozgar Nirman Mandal Chairman Hemant Deshmukh, Vice Chairman of Textbook Corporation Avdhesh Naik and Sadhvi Yogmaya was also present on the occasion.-WTN
