Advanced Agriculture Information to 3 Lakh farmers from 626 Krishi Kranti Raths
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is an agriculture dominated state and agriculture is the spine of the economyof the state. To make agriculture a profitable business, the agriculture cost has to be cut down. For this it is essential to make maximum use of advanced technique, scientific system, advanced seeds and advanced agriculture machinery in agriculture. With this purpose, the Krishi Mahotsav is being organised in Gramoday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan.
Farmers are being given information related to obtaining maximum income from agriculture related industries and agriculture in krishi gram sansad in each Gram Panchayat. Farmers of 7,129 villages are being imparted information through 626 krishi kranti raths @2 per development block in 7 days from 15 to 21 April in the first week of the Mahotsav. Nearly 2 lakh 94 thousand 811 farmers took part in the Krishi Gram Sansad and collected advance information related to agriculture.
Information on advances techniques of agriculture, new agriculture system, advanced seeds, advanced agriculture equipments, use of balanced fertilisers, crop cycle change, krishi vaniki, low agrculture cost, organic farming, horticulture etc. by agrculture experts, progressive farmers, officials and ground team.
Farmer’s Welfare and Agriculture Development Department
The department officials and ground team imparted information about Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme, new scientific technique, new seeds, integrated pest management technique, value promotion technique, marketing of agriculture products and food processing, grant scheme on solar agriculture pumps, crop cycle change, crop diversification, krishi vaniki, decreasing agriculture cost, organic farming technique and advanced agriculture equipments etc. to 2 lakh 94 thousand 811 farmers.
Animal Husbandry department
It is very essential to have healthy and advanced species of cattle for success in agriculture. At least 22 thousand 694 cattle were treated for infertility, 2 lakh 2 thousand 836 cattle treated through distribution of medicines and mineral mixture, immunisation of 2 lakh 71 thousand and 168 cattle, castration of 12 thousand 692 cattle and 4 thousand 795 artifical conceptions were carried out in 7 days by the Department of Animal Husbandry.
Panchayat and Rural Development Department
The Department launched 4,234 works under “Mera Khet-Meri Mati” scheme in 7 days. Alongwith this cleanliness campaign was publicized in villages.
Horticulture and Forest Department
The department is advising farmers to take horticulture crops and earn additional income by planting saplings on boundaries. In seven days, 65 thousand 256 paid saplings were distributed.
Energy Department
Meanwhile 2,272 agriculturists were benefited from the Navin Pump Krishak Anudan Yojana. Nearly 1,895 farmers were benefitted from the regular pump connection scheme (flat rate yojana).
Cooperative Department
At least 21 thousand 582 farmers were linked with cooperative institutes by the department. This will enable loan, availability of fertilisers and sale of crops to farmers's.
Anganwadis also benefitted
At least 299 quintals of free grain was obtained from farmers as Special Nutrition Day in the 7 days of Krishi Mahotsav. This grain will be supplied to anganwadis.-WTN
