Cheque of Rs 3000 to be given to bride for smart phone

More than 395000 marriages held under scheme 

Bhopal: Cheque of Rs 3000 will be given separately to bride for purchasing smart phone as per decision taken by state cabinet under Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana, ambitious scheme of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Marriages of 3,86,103 girls and Nikah of 9,403 girls have been held under the scheme in the state.

Financial help of Rs 25000 is given to poor, needy, destitude family for marriage or remarriage of girls in mass marriage.Out of the amount, Rs 17000 given for happy marriage life, are given through account payee cheque on the name of the girl in mass marriage function. Rs 5000 are given for essential things to be given to girl in marriage ceremony and provision has been made to spend Rs 3000 for mass marriage function by rural and urban bodies.-WTN
