Ideological Deliberations and Cultural Evening on Adi Shankracharya Prakatotsav Today

Bhopal: Promoter of Advaita Vedanta Philosophy, Reviver of Sanatan Dharam and Ambassador of Cultural Unity Adi Shankracharya’s Prakatotsav is being celebrated with spiritual faith and cultural dignity in the entire state on Vaishakh Shukl Panchami-Pashthi i.e. May 1. This is the first occasion in the country when a broad based cultural campaign is taking shape to remember the unequalled contribution in totality of great enlightened personality Adi Shankracharya. Main programme to recollect holy memories of Adi Shankracharya in the guidance of followers and intellectuals of grand sant tradition is being organised in Bhopal.
Beside this, activities focussing great contributions of Adi Shnakarcharya will take place in all the 51 districts of the state. This Anushthan has been envisaged by the Culture Department of the state.
Deliberation will take place in Mansarovar Auditorium of Assembly at 11.00 a.m. in Bhopal in the benign presence of Jagatguru Shankarcharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamkoti. The programme will be chaired by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Swami Parmanand Giri -Haridwar, Swami Govind Dev Giri –Pune, Swami Subhodhanand –Siddhbadi and Vitthal C. Nadkarni of Delhi will deliver Saraswat lectures on ‘ Adi Shankaracharya ke Darshan aur Sanskratik Ekta’. CM Chouhan will shed light on philosophy of Adi Shankarcharya and Cultural Unity. Assembly Speaker Sitasaran Sharma, National General Secretary B.J.P Ramlal, National General Secretary B.J.P Shri Ram Madhav and National Vice President B.J.P Vinay Sahastrabuddhe will grace the occasion. The function will start with the presentation of song based on Adi Shankaracharya’s composition by Dhrupad singer Abhijit Sukhdane and team. Art critic Vinay Upadhyaya will conduct the programme.
Moreover, cultural presentations based on Sanskrat composition of Adi Shankarcharya will be presented in the evening at Ravindra Bhavan. Renowned personality of Hindustani Classical Music Padambhushan Rajan-Sajan Mishra and famous danseuse Sujata Mahapatra with her team have composed their presentations keeping in view the Adi Shankracharya Prakatotsav.
It may be highlighted in context to Madhya Pradesh that Adi Shankarcharya who was born in Southern India had received Shiksha/Deeksha in Omkareshwar. He had established four peeths based on four Vedas to unite the country. He is venerated as a National Hero who has touched the heart of ancient India and demonstrated the Vedanta philosophy.-WTN
