Workshops will be Organised at District Head Quarters for Unsuccessful Students of Board Eaxamination

Open School Education Council Meeting Held in Presence of Minister Kunwar Shah 
Bhopal  The State Open School will organise workshops for unsuccessful students of class 10 and 12 board examinations to provide guidance to the students in the month of May. This information was given in a Executive Committee meeting of Madhya Pradesh State Open School Education Council held at Mantralaya today under the Chairmanship of Minister for School Education Kunwar Vijay Shah.

It was informed that the Open School Board will start competency programme from May 10 in Chhatarpur, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Raisen, Gwalior and Khandwa in order to make teachers of school education department competent in computers. Moreover it was informed in the meeting that 80 thousand students have passed the board examination till today under the scheme ‘Ruk Jaana Nahi’ which was started last year. Under the Ruk Jaana Nahi scheme, examination will be held in two phases in June and November this year.

Minister Kunwar Shah said that unsuccessful students of board examination become disappoint speedily. As a result they take dangerous steps like suicide. He told them to make contact officer in district education officer’s office at each district head quarters to help unsuccessful students. They will provide information on schemes of open school to the students. Moreover, contact officers will also provide information on skill development beside education.

Control Coaching Institutes

Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah said that coaching institutes providing coaching for Engineering and Medical college entrance examinations should be controlled. He instructed officials to make necessary rules for it. A large fee is being charged by the coaching institutes in the state.

A budget proposal of Rs. 38 crore 54 lakh 50 thousand was approved for the year 2017-18 for open school. Members of Board of Secondary Education, Text Book Corporation, Tribal Welfare and Finance department beside Vijay Jain and Smt. Shashi Singh Parmar as non government members were present in the meeting.-WTN
