Bhopal 31 October 2021: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the countrymen, especially the younger generation, should make efforts to bring alive the legacy of Sardar Patel and acquaint the future generations with his unique contribution in building modern India. He said that the contribution of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel in the national unity of India is unforgettable.
Governor Patel was addressing the conclusion of the Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan organised by Nehru Yuva Sangathan and the launch of Jal Shakti Mission "Catch the Rain 2.0" at Water and Land Management Institute, Bhopal today.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that people save money for the happy future of the children and ignore the environment, whereas environment and water conservation is most important for the safe future of the future generation. He said that India is a country of youth. The youth will have to be determined to make their best contribution in nation-building. He said that the country is rapidly moving towards self-reliance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Everyone's cooperation is necessary in this because everyone's cooperation, everyone's development, everyone's faith and everyone's effort is the basis of building a self-reliant India. He appreciated the work being done by Nehru Yuva Kendra for environment and water conservation. He wished everyone a Happy Diwali. On this occasion, Governor Patel honoured the director of Doordarshan Kendra Bhopal, Sushri Pooja Vardhan and other persons for their cooperation in the Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan. Souvenir and poster were unveiled. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp. Paid homage by offering flowers at the photo of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel.
Member of Parliament Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made cleanliness campaign a mass movement by presenting his own example. He has shown that when people's mind is focused, even impossible tasks are accomplished. He said that youth determine the condition and direction of the country. It is necessary for cleanliness that every person should be aware of the cleanliness and health of himself, family and community.
Lt. Col. Arun Kumar Singh, Executive Director, Nehru Yuva Sangathan said that in view of the 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the organisation has collected more than the target of 75 lakh single use plastic collection from all the districts of the country during the campaign.
