Bhopal 22 November 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate Janjatiya Gourav Diwas in the entire country every year on 15th November and organise various programmes of tribal pride for a week in every nook and corner of the country and launched the campaign from Bhopal. Janjatiya Gourav Diwas Saptah is being concluded in Mandla today. This event is a campaign to change the lives of the tribals. Economic, social and educational empowerment of tribals will be done.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the contribution of tribals in the freedom struggle and their pride would be restored in the world. He said that the state of Gondwana having 52 strongholds has a glorious history. The Gond kings took care of their subject and were efficient manager. Their excellent water management is remembered even today.
Chief Minister Chouhan attended the closing ceremony of Janjatiya Gourav Saptah at Ramnagar Mandla today. He also dedicated and performed bhoomi-poojan of development works costing more than Rs 600 crore from the venue.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the tribals would be given the right to manage community forest, they would plant a forest and they would have the right over its wood and fruits. Under the Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhu-Adhikar Yojna, residential land rights-letters will be provided to them.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that "Ration Aapke Gaon" scheme was started in 89 tribal development blocks of the state, in which fair price ration would be distributed through vehicles in the village itself. Ration-supply vehicles will be purchased by providing loans to the tribal youths through banks on the guarantee of the government. Margin money will be given by the government. For vehicles, a rent of Rs 26 thousand will be given per month. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Udyami Kranti Yojana is being started, in which the government will assist in providing loans ranging from Rs.25 thousand to Rs.10 lakh for self-employment on its own guarantee.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government is formulating a new excise policy, in which the tribal community will be able to make liquor traditionally from Mahua. The right to sell this heritage liquor will also be given to the tribals.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that small and false cases filed against tribals would be withdrawn. Sand will be provided free of cost to the tribal community for making Pradhan Mantri Awas. It is being considered to give the right to sell tendu leaves to the tribes from next year. This work will be done through forest committees.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the loans given by private moneylenders by August 20, 2020 to the tribal community at higher interest rates would end. Four rural engineers will be appointed in every village, who will be from the tribal society. Tribal youths will be provided training for the recruitment in police and army. Water will be supplied to every household through taps.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that water will be supplied through pipeline to 446 villages of Mandla district under Halon group water supply scheme worth Rs.613 crore 30 lakh. Water will be supplied to 182 villages through Narayanganj Bijadondi Group Water Supply Scheme. The Computer Skill Centre-cum-Library at Mandla will be named Raja Shankar Shah, Raghunath Shah Library. Women's Polytechnic College Mandla will be named as Rani Phool Kunwar Polytechnic College. In Mandla district, one lakh bamboo saplings will be provided to the tribals to increase their income.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a medical college would be opened in Mandla, which would be named Raja Hriday Shah Medical College. Primary Health Centre, Manpur will be named as Tantya Bhil Health Centre. The Tantya Bhil temple located at Patalpani will be renovated. The name of Patalpani Railway Station will be Tantya Bhil Railway Station. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Bhanwar Kuan Chauraha in Indore would be named as Tantya Bhil Chauraha. Similarly, MR-10 Bus Stand in Indore will be named as Tantya Bhil Bus Stand.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that tribal students go to different divisions of the state for studies, divisional facilitation centres will be opened at the divisional level to solve their problems.
Digital launch of Baiga scheme
Chief Minister Chouhan digitally launched Baiga Yojana from the platform. Under the scheme, door-to-door survey of all the people of the Baiga community will be done and they will be given the benefit of all the related schemes of the government. Chief Minister Chouhan also released the book "Main Baiga Hoon" published on Baiga culture.
Rs 10 crore cheques to women of Aajeevika Mission
Chief Minister Chouhan presented cheques of Rs. 10 crore 2 lakh to the women of livelihood self-help groups in the Rural Livelihood Mission. Bamboo saplings were distributed under the bamboo scheme. Under the "Ration Aapke Gaon" scheme, the keys of the vehicles were handed over to 2 beneficiaries.
Danced with tribal artists
On reaching the venue of the programme, Chief Minister Chouhan was accorded a warm welcome with traditional dance and songs by tribal artists. Chief Minister Chouhan was also overwhelmed by their love and he danced with the tribal artists by playing dhol. The concluding convention started with Kanya-Poojan.
Appreciation of tribal artifacts
Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the tribal artifacts after visiting the tribal art exhibition put up at the venue.
Chief Minister Chouhan garlanded and worshipped the pictures of Rani Durgavati, Raja Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah at the flag site in the Ramnagar fort complex.
