CM Chouhan interacts with beneficiaries in Basa village of Sagar district

Bhopal 23 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who came on a day-long visit to the district, interacted with the beneficiaries of government welfare schemes at Basa village in Sagar district. Chief Minister Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of Nal-Jal Yojana in 87 villages of Kesli and Deori development block at a cost of Rs 63 crore 98 lakh 81 thousand in Basa village. He distributed cheques worth Rs 21 lakh to 7 women self-help groups. Chief Minister Chouhan announced to make Nal-Jal Yojana in 386 villages of Deori and Kesli at a cost of more than Rs.416 crore 16 lakh.

Chief Minister Chouhan also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti, Prahlad Patel presided over it. Public Works Minister of Madhya Pradesh Gopal Bhargav, public representatives, officers, women of self-help groups and villagers were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan, while paying obeisance to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose said that Netaji’s contribution in the freedom struggle is important. Netaji shook the foundation of the British Empire with the Azad Hind Fauj.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running many programs to take the country forward. Under PM Samman Nidhi Yojana each year, three installments of Rs 2 thousand is being given to farmers and two installments of Rs 2 thousand is being given in the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, thus an amount of Rs 10 thousand is being given to the farmers. The Chief Minister said that no villager would be deprived of Pradhan Manri Awas. Accommodation will be provided to all. He said that Prime Minister Modi has provided free Corona vaccine in the country. He said that Corona is not gone yet. Don’t be careless about Corona. Everyone should get both doses of the vaccine. Everyone must wear masks and senior citizens above 60 years of age must get a booster dose.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that under Mukhyamantri Bhu-Awasiya Adhikar Yojna, the Bhu Awasiya Adhikar Yojana has been implemented for the houses where more than one family is living and the house becomes smaller due to increase in the number of members. Free residential plots will be provided to such families and the amount of housing construction will be given under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The Chief Minister said that women self-help groups would be financially empowered. The women of the group will stitch school uniforms. They will also be given the work of operating fair price shops and buying wheat, paddy, gram etc. at support price. The task of providing nutritious food to the children has also been given to the women of the groups.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that during his visit to Basa village, people spoke about making a reservoir in Tulsipar. This could irrigate 500 hectares. He instructed the officers that apart from this, survey should also be done for making small ponds for irrigation in Kolkhand. The Chief Minister said that a community hall would be built in Basa village.

CM plays Nagadiya with bhajan singers in Basa village

Chief Minister Chouhan played Nagadiya with bhajan singers during his visit to Basa village. People danced to the beats of the Nagadiya. The Chief Minister said that two women bhajan mandalis of Basa village and Tulsipar would be given an amount of Rs.11 thousand each. Chief Minister Chouhan said that bhajans bring happiness. The Chief Minister visited the exhibition of products by self-help groups in Basa village. He praised the goods being created by the Self Help Groups.

Chief Minister Chouhan had lunch at the house of Brijesh Merskole in the tribal dominated Basa village in Kesli block of Sagar district. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti Prahlad Patel, Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava. The Merskole family served jowar and Makke ki roti, drumstick flower curry, chirpota ki chutney and chana nigona to the Chief Minister and other guests with full honour.
