CM Chouhan reaches SC-ST Post Matric Girls Hostel

Bhopal 26 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached SC/ST Post Matric Girls Hostel at Qila Maidan Indore where he interacted with the girl students and listened to their problems and resolved them. Chief Minister Chouhan also had lunch with them. On this occasion, Chief Minister Chouhan’s wife Sadhana Singh, State Disaster Management Committee member Dr. Nishant Khare and officials were also present.  

Chief Minister Chouhan interacted with the girl students and listened to their problems. The girls stated the need for a library, computer and online coaching in the hostel. Chief Minister Chouhan immediately instructed the officers to set up a library here. Computer should be arranged. Along with this, the facility of online coaching should also be made available.

Chief Minister Chouhan said on this occasion that a daughter is a boon. Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign is being run by the state government. Many computer schemes are being operated to educate more and more daughters. Bicycles have been provided by the government to the children to go to school. Ladli Laxmi Yojana is being effectively implemented. Gaon Ki Beti Yojana is being run to help in higher education. He said that new ashrams and hostels are being opened in the state as per requirement. Arrangements have also been made for the marriage of girls under Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that arrangements are also being made to provide employment to daughters in both government and private sectors. In a decision taken by the state government, 50 percent posts of teachers and 30 percent posts in police have been reserved for women.
