Bhopal 08 February 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel has asked the Vice Chancellors to create an environment of healthy competition for good work in the universities of the state. He told to take inspiration from whatever is good. Where there is a shortage, there work must be done with more energy. A new dimension of academic quality must be achieved. He has said that the Vice Chancellor should work with the feelings and emotions of the parents of the students. Arrangements in the university should be student oriented. Along with education, students should also be made to feel socially responsible. Ensure participation of students in the efforts of public awareness towards Sickle cell.
Governor Patel was addressing a review meeting of Vice Chancellors of government universities at Raj Bhavan. Officials of National Health Mission gave information about Sickle Cell Anemia and its treatment besides management efforts of the state government through power point presentation.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given an opportunity to the youth to make their dreams come true, giving new heights to the spirits of the youth in the new education policy. In order to ensure that the students of the state get the benefits of the new education policy, it is necessary that the syllabus and other related arrangements should be made soon. Ensure that the examinations and their results arrive on time.
The infrastructure should be strong for quality study, teaching. Academic calendar should be followed. There should be no delay in the filling of academic posts. Universities should organize convocation every year on a fixed date.
Governor Patel said that all the colleges affiliated to the university should get NAAC grading on completion of 5 years of establishment. Arrange libraries as per the norms of University Grants Commission. Get audit objections resolved year-wise. Work must be done seriously while treating the resolution work of court cases as a personal responsibility. Ensure that there is an effective and timely presentation of is done case before the court. He said that the arrangements for personal appearance in the court on the appointed date give positive results. He said that universities should adopt villages with tribal population. Sickle Cell Anemia disease awareness programmes, test and test camps must be organised in selected villages.
Support must be extended in the treatment of patients. He said that those who serve with sincerity are partakers of God’s grace.
