Bhopal 08 February 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that sisters can do wonders if they have the urge to work. Mothers, sisters, daughters are not born to live in deprivation and poverty and listen to taunts. The women are not yet given the respect they deserve. There is discrimination between sons and daughters. It is my life's mission to work for the empowerment of mother, sister, daughter, it is my top priority. After becoming the Chief Minister, the plans that I made were aimed at ensuring women empowerment up to the village level. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a programme to distribute bank loans to the members of self-help groups formed under the State Rural Livelihood Mission at Kushabhau Thakre auditorium. Chief Minister Chouhan distributed bank loans of Rs. 300 crore to the members of self-help groups with a single click. Chief Minister Chouhan also held a virtual dialogue with the members of the group at the Panchayat level.
In the programme, Chief Minister Chouhan also released Aajeevika Calendar full of comprehensive training material. Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelawan Patel and Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Umakant Umrao were present. In the programme that started with the lighting of lamp and Madhya Pradesh song, a film focused on nutritional food plant made in Dewas district was screened. All the districts and panchayats were virtually connected with the programme.
Chief Minister Chouhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and said that arrangements have been made through various schemes for the empowerment of women from their birth till their lifetime. Sambal Yojana is also being implemented in the state. Pregnant mothers under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana on the birth of a daughter, free books and school uniform if daughter goes to school, free cycle if daughter goes to another village, if daughter passes with good marks in class twelfth there is a provision for giving benefit of Gaon ki Beti Yojana, if the daughter goes to college then there is a provision for the benefit of Pratibha Kiran Yojana. Also, arrangements have been made in the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana to ensure that the house of the daughter is settled properly. Chief Minister Chouhan said that so far more than 40 lakh daughters have become Ladli Laxmi in the state. The state government is going to implement Ladli Laxmi-Two scheme soon.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that our government is committed for the educational, social, economic and political empowerment of women. For women, 50 percent reservation in local bodies was first given in Madhya Pradesh. For women, 50 percent reservation has been made in the posts of contract school teachers and 30 percent in police jobs. Women have also created a new history by working with self-confidence, this is a big social change. Indore has come first in cleanliness five times, the mayor there is a woman. Women Sarpanchs are also doing exemplary work.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that economic empowerment is necessary for self-esteem and self-confidence. Women should be financially empowered, their income should increase, it is necessary for the complete empowerment of women. The state government is working continuously in this direction to ensure that every woman involved in the Aajeevika Mission should have a minimum income of ten thousand rupees per month. Intensive meetings are being held with banks every month so that the women may get loans readily and easily from banks. Chief Minister Chouhan said that women of self-help groups should adopt the methods of digital transaction of money. Women should move forward with full confidence, following the 13 sutras of the concept of Aajeevika Mission, the state government is with women at every step.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that changes are coming in the field of economic as well as social empowerment due to the activism of women. Women self-help groups should also make continuous efforts for positive change in social behaviour in issues like prohibition, prevention of child marriage, cleanliness, nutrition, environmental protection.
Clothes shop of Rubina runs in Maruti van
Chief Minister Chouhan also interacted virtually with the members of self-help groups of different districts. Smt. Rubina Bi of Dewas district's Jagrukta Aajeevika Self-Help Group told that she used to work as a labourer. After joining the group, she started running a cloth shop in the village itself. With this increase in income, Rubina bought a Maruti van. Now she also goes to sell clothes in the nearby villages. After joining the group, now her monthly income is between Rs. 25 to 30 thousand. Chief Minister Chouhan, after listening to the story of Rubina's struggle and success, encouraged her and told the self-help groups of the entire state to - "Clap for Rubina".
Women should take training in professions according to the need of the society
Mamta Songara of Jagriti Aajeevika Group of Dhar told that she runs a beauty parlour in the village along with a sari shop. On this, Chief Minister Chouhan said that as a result of the social and personal changes that have taken place in the villages along with the cities, the demand for beauty parlours has increased in the villages as well. Therefore, women should take training in the professions according to needs of the society. With this, a beauty parlour or other such work can be started in the village itself by taking training in such trades.
Boost in business through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Asha Rathore of Kapil Aajeevika Self-Help Group of Shahdol district started the work of renting plates for centring work after joining the self-help group. As a result of the houses being built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, her business is doing well and earning an income of 25 to 30 thousand per month.
Mama will also come to the restaurant and will also bring Mami with her
Saroj Bairwa of Mahatma Gandhi Aajeevika Self-Help Group of Sheopur district is running Didi Cafe by the name AM Prasadam. When Chief Minister Chouhan asked the meaning of AM, Saroj very simply told that AM means Aajeevika Mission. Chief Minister Chouhan discussed in detail with Saroj Bairwa about the operation of Didi Cafe, the dishes being prepared by her. Saroj while pleading with the Chief Minister Chouhan said that - "Mamaji, you must definitely visit the restaurant." On this, Chief Minister Chouhan said that - "Mama will also come to the restaurant and will also bring Mami alongwith him."
CM said to master trainer Sudha - "Very nice Sudha ji - keep moving forward"
Sudha Baghel of Saraswati Aajeevika Self-Help Group of Barwani district started farming, goat rearing by joining self-help group. She now goes on to train in Himachal Pradesh and other states as a National Community Master Trainer. As a master trainer, she receives an honorarium of Rs. 2000 for a day. The monthly income of Smt. Sudha Baghel is 22 to 25 thousand rupees. Chief Minister Chouhan while encouraging her said that - "Very nice Sudha ji - keep moving forward."

Chief Minister Chouhan distributed loan amount to the presidents/secretaries of Self-Help Groups as a symbol. He gave Rs. 4 lakh to Ganga Self-Help Group of Sehore district for animal husbandry activities, Rs. 6 lakh to Ram Self-Help Group of Bhopal for dairy activities, Rs. 6 lakh to Ramakrishna Self-Help Group of Vidisha district for animal husbandry, 5 lakh 75 thousand to Raisen's Shivaay self-help group for sewing activities and Rs. 6 lakh 66 thousand were given to Bholenath self-help group of Rajgarh district for dairy business.

Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelawan Patel welcomed the Chief Minister Chouhan. Patel informed that till now more than 40 lakh rural poor families in the state have been provided financial assistance of Rs 2 thousand 762 crore in the form of bank loan by connecting them with about 3 lakh 50 thousand self-help groups. In the mission, social and economic empowerment of women members of poor families living in rural areas is being done by connecting them with self-help groups.
